“In Our Darkest Hour (Something New Is Born)”, as the title suggests , is a song about hope, about light at the end of the tunnel. It felt as quite an obvious choice to reintroduce the band after almost 25 years. With its melancholic , electro gospel touch and over the top crescendo, it pretty much encapsulates what the band was always about. Emotion, melancholy and big feelings. We´re also very excited to release our first video in 30(!) years accompanying the single.
Unknown fact about the video. Literally 5 minutes after finishing shooting his performance in the videoclip, John Alexander Ericson was hospitalized for three days with some pancreatic issue. So the pain in the video is very much real.” — The Northern Territories
